Congratulations India: the movie "We are Family" is so sensitive and good to see.

I just saw "We Are Family", a wonderfull Hindi movie. I reconized imediatly the first locations because my little daughter uses to see "Greasy" with Olivia Newton John every day. Exactly: everyday. Five minutes after the end, I started to look for information about the production, on-line, in order to stop to cry. I was very moved.
The story is very similar than a Hollywood script movie with Susan Saradon and Julia Roberts,'Stepmother", I agree. And I think that was the idea, to make an Hindi version of this movie. And I also found out that I was right about locations, the movie was produced in Australia. Then probably the beach( very beautiful landscape) from the beginning is the same then on "Greasy". Good choice! Good reference! Why not?
But what I really found out in a very emotive way was: the Indian directors, actors and producers know how to tell a story. Know how to take a famous movie from Hollywood and make another, completely new: the two protagonists women are the same age, and not this obcessive american point of view that the younger is better . The couple was already separated, and they came back , because of the illness, but also because of love and the children. In the hindi movie is much more clear that the three people and the children were in a very special relationship and creating strong bonds, in a very crucial moment. In the american version, the man was much more appart, he did not cope with his ex-wife, like in the Hindi one. Well, I have to sleep, is too late here. But I would like to talk much more about this movie. ( The songs and the lyrics are so beautifull also, I would like to buy the sound-track) . And if I even try to write in English is because I would like to share my feeelings and impressions with the India people, the Hindi people.
- Do not worry or give to much attention to Hollywood. You can be good, criative and enchanted, being yourselves. That is. I recomend "We are a family".

  3. Cam, tudo bem?

Eu gosto demais dos filmes indianos, o que nao gosto muito sao das músicas que muitos deles têm. Com o tempo fica cansativo. Mas geralmente eles têm boas histórias.
